Home // Inaugural exhibition @ Green Gallery
Students of Colaiste Bride worked with artist Jane Fogarty on a weekly basis for an eight week period culminating in the exhibition 'Home' in May 2010. All work created was centered on the idea of Home. Workshop sessions consisted of an introduction to particular artistic techniques and processes through presentation of work by modern and contemporary artists. Along with drawing the students worked with photography, wire drawing in space, and collage. At the start of the project, students made their own books which they used as visual diaries in which to sketch, write and keep ideas for artwork throughout the project, placing an emphasis on the process of creation. These journals along with a selection of completed work were exhibited at the launch of the Green Gallery.
